Chelsea fear a long absence for Romeo Lavia

Romeo Lavia, one of Chelsea’s star signings during the latest Premier League transfer window, could be out for an extended period after picking up an injury with the national team.

Romeo Lavia may be gone for a few weeks Chelsea. The Belgium international, recruited at a high price in the final days of the summer 2023 transfer window from Southampton, injured his ankle in training. The Premier League club fear a lengthy unavailability and could miss at least the Blues’ next five games, according to the Mirror.

Romeo Lavia back on October 21?

Wounded off Romeo Lavia is a blow to Chelsea and their manager Mauricio Pochettino. The latter has been trying to create a typical team since the start of the season and seemed to want to rely on the former Saints player. His return to the pitch is now at best scheduled for October 21 and the derby against Arsenal.
