Rabat: Launching the Alliance of National Commissions and Learning Cities in Africa
This initiative follows a collaboration between the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture and several African countries, especially those that are part of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities.

The creation of this alliance aims to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between national commissions and cities of learning in Africa, thus realizing the Royal vision of Africa becoming an essential economic and political actor on the international stage.

The Alliance will work on launching joint strategic actions, promoting lifelong learning and encouraging the exchange of experiences between member countries. It is also committed to supporting the membership of African cities in various UNESCO networks and contributing to the creation of the African Institute for Lifelong Learning.

The effectiveness of the Alliance will be confirmed through the implementation of an action plan focused on supporting learning cities in member countries, in addition to strengthening the African network in this area and sponsoring and supporting African cities to apply and receive UNESCO learning cities.
