Sevilla FC welcomes RC Lens at 9pm for the first day of the Champions League. Here are the starting eleven.

Sevilla, winners of the Europa League last season, could be without some key players, notably left-back starter Acuna (injured), experienced midfielder Fernando, Januzaj not part of plans, injured knee Kouassi, defensive summer 2022 recruit Marcao ( still injured), as well as the young substitute goalkeeper Vacas (unavailable). On the other hand, former Rennes player Loic Badé and Spanish legend Sergio Ramos, back home after a long journey, should be available, as should Moroccan striker En-Nesyri and Lucas Ocampos. However, be aware of this summer’s departures, especially of titular goalkeeper Bono (to Saudi Arabia) and the perennially injured Jesus Corona (return to Mexico). On the Lens side, it is obvious that two key players in the Champions League qualification will be missing: Openda (RB Leipzig) and Fofana (Al Nassr), who chose to leave the northern project.
