In fact, the success rate among participants is 91%.

This initiative aims to develop the autonomy of participants so that they can travel alone on the public transport network.

To date, 420 people have completed training. The goal is to train at least 2,000 people by 2025.

Our journalist Anne-Sophie Jobin accompanied Ludovic Lamarche-Cadieu, one of the beneficiaries of the program, on a walk.

“I feel free, I feel independent. I’m proud of myself,” he said.

Thanks to the program, he can now go to school, work and internships on his own.

“When Louis first returned home and made a completely autonomous journey, I cannot tell you what stars were in his eyes,” expresses his mother and ideological inspirer of the program, Julie Cadieux.

“It allows him to be a full citizen, to act like everyone else, to move like everyone else, and gives him confidence in his abilities,” she adds.
