Christian Pulisic, served by Rafael Leao, gave the advantage in the 60th minute to Milan, who dominated the game but lacked cruel realism in the final gesture.
It was only in the 88th minute that Noah Okafor, on a pass from Leao, put his team in safety.
Thanks to this success, the sixth in seven games, AC Milan is the new leader in Serie A with 18 points, three more than Inter who visit Salernitana in the evening.
“We immediately put this Lazio team under pressure, we knew we had to be patient but that we were going to end up scoring and winning,” Pulisic analyzed on the microphone of the DAZN platform.
“There are a lot of new players in our team, but we’re starting to find our feet and I’m having a lot of fun,” insisted the US international, a former Dortmund and Chelsea player.
This meeting marked the return to goal of Mike Maignan, absent since he went off with a thigh strain against Newcastle during the first day of the Champions League.

The goalkeeper of the France team had a relatively quiet evening.
Lazio remain firmly in the second part of the standings (14th), with just seven points.
