Free events November 15, 2023.
Next Wednesday, November 15, the Cauvaldor Health Service and its partners are offering free events with the theme “No Tobacco Month” from 9:00 to 17:00 at Place de la République in Saint-Céré.
“No Tobacco Month” returns in November! This is a national challenge given to smokers to encourage them to try to quit. By giving up smoking for 30 days, they increase their chances of quitting smoking permanently by 5. For the first time, Saint-Céré is becoming a Tobacco-Free Village of the Month, an initiative of the Cauvaldor Health Service in conjunction with the departmental Tobacco-Free Month Committee.
The Community Health Service of the Communes of Cauvaldor and the Regional Directorate of Education and Health Promotion, with the support of the Municipality of Saint-Céré, are offering events on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 9:00 to 17:00, at Place de la République in Saint-Céré. This is the only village organized on a departmental scale. During the day, many partners will be present, including: Epidaure, the prevention department of the Montpellier Cancer Institute (ICM), the historical ambassador of the operation, health workers (smoking nurses, nutritionists), as well as the Lot adolescent center, the league against cancer, territorial mediators Prevention Support Group, Research Committee on Information and Social Inclusion…
Fun workshops, one-on-one interviews, targeted information and tools to help you quit smoking will be available. Access to this village is open and free.
This year, the association “Who cleans up if not you” will also be present on this day and will offer a collection of cigarette butts from 14:00 to 16:30 in the city center of Saint-Céré.
Anyone can take part (you just need to bring a pair of gloves and suitable clothing and shoes).
