During the Game Awards 2023, Moon Studios, the company behind Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, finally lifted the curtain on its next title. The partnership with Xbox has ended, this time Private Division, the publisher founded by Take-Two, has the opportunity to publish another game from the talented studio: No Rest for the Wicked. Although early access was planned for Take-Two’s fiscal fourth quarter of 2024, it was ultimately delayed by several months.
“No Rest for the Wicked” has been moved to the second quarter of 2024
Ahead of Take-Two’s fiscal third quarter 2024 results, IGN was able to speak with CEO Strauss Zelnick and learn that the Early Access release of No Rest for the Wicked has been pushed back to next quarter.
It’s been moved back a quarter, and as always, we’ll move something back if we feel like we want to tweak it a little more to make it the best it can be and make it even more amazing for consumers.
Thus, according to the latest investor presentation, No Rest for the Wicked is planned for Take-Two’s first fiscal quarter of 2025, which is the period from April to June 2024.
We can’t wait to learn more about the studio’s next product, because after creating Mario with Ori, they want to create their own Zelda with this new game. There’s reason to be especially excited as we learn about the quality of Moon Studios’ previous two games, especially since the No Rest for the Wicked developer wants to redefine the Action-RPG genre.
No Rest for the Wicked is scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The studio has already set a meeting for March 1 to learn more during the Wicked Inside presentation, an event during which the Early Access release date will likely be revealed.
