Currently on tour to present his seventh solo show entitled “Himself”, Gad El Maleh gave an exclusive interview with “The Parisien”. The 52-year-old comedian explains that he is no longer afraid to address a particularly sensitive topic on stage.

He missed the stage terribly. After two years of traveling through France with his show Furthermore itGad El Maleh is back with Himself, his seventh solo show in which he reveals himself more. “This symptom is the result of reflections, headaches and personal events,” he says in an exclusive interview with Parisian.

Among the topics discussed on stage: money, a topic still taboo in France, the education of his youngest son, born from his previous relationship with Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, and his childhood love for Sophie Marceau, but also accusations of plagiarism that he faced in 2017. It took Gad El Maleh more than seven years before he dared to address this sensitive topic, which is the time to think carefully and succeed in finding the right words. “It works on stage because now I want to talk about it and address the suffering I felt at that moment, as well as my share of responsibility,” the comedian explains in columns Parisian.
