Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and N Gage Consulting signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of strengthening the implementation of the AfCFTA in Africa, with a focus on North Africa and Arabic-speaking countries, while mobilizing the full potential of this initiative through targeted actions with a positive impact in Africa.

The memorandum was formally signed by Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of AfCFTA, as well as Karim Refaat, President of N Gage Consulting, and Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Director General.

The AfCFTA was established with the laudable objective of removing trade barriers between African nations, with the ambition of creating a single market of 1.3 billion people with a combined economic potential of $3.4 trillion annually.

As the largest free trade area in the world, AfCFTA aims to intensify intra-African trade and promote regional economic integration, thus contributing to the continent’s sustainable and social development, creating employment opportunities and fighting poverty.

Within this alliance, both parties undertake to consolidate their cooperation and promote specific activities, including holding webinars, organizing productive brainstorming sessions, public-private dialogues, as well as creating monthly newsletters intended to disseminate relevant information through social media. platform, with the aim of raising the awareness of the private sector and government entities about the objectives of the AfCFTA, while emphasizing its trade-led initiative and its role in strengthening trade between member states.
