Climate concerns are encouraging people to limit air travel, but fortunately, food from the other side of the world is more accessible than ever. In this area, Paris continues to surprise. “We are seeing a rise in new fast food concepts based on cuisines from elsewhere,” says Bernard Botboul, president of outdoor dining consultancy Jira.
It’s enough to please Generation Z, which includes teens and those under 25 who are “enthusiastic about traveling through the plate in Instagrammable establishments”… but not only that. There are many Parisians of all ages who have already succumbed to the Korean fried chicken from Bonchon, the Portuguese specialties from Silvana, the upscale hummus from Chichi au Gros Bao and the delicious stuffed brioche.
