Withdrawal of points for three Moroccan clubs?

FIFA’s disciplinary committee is threatening to reduce the points of three Moroccan clubs because of their unpaid debts. The first sanctions were the result of legal proceedings.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee plans to sanction three Moroccan clubs by deducting points: two from Botola Pro Inwi D1 and one from Botola Pro Inwi D2. The sanction will be applied if they do not respect the deadline for resolving disputes, set for the end of June 2024.

Firstly, there are Chabab de Mohammedia and MC Oujda, who play in the first division and occupy 13th and 15th place respectively, therefore already in danger of relegation. The third is Wydad de Fez, 12th in Botola Pro 2, 4 points away from the relegation zone.

It should be remembered that these clubs have already received sanctions from the aforementioned body of FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) since they were banned from recruiting during last winter’s transfer window.

That’s not all, these clubs risk even worse if the delay in clearing their unpaid debts due to disputes continues. The sanctions, in this case, according to the laws applied by the competent authorities, can go as far as relegation to a lower division.
