Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has been announced to release in 2024!

Several years ago, already in 2014, an independent studio War horse wanted to release a first-person game set in a medieval universe. Since the project was ambitious but expensive, a participation campaign was successfully launched on Kickstarter. The project had such potential that it was accepted on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It was very well received in 2018, especially because it was hosted by then-CryEngine. But since then, other than a few DLCs, nothing much has been said about Warhorse. The studio was actually preparing a sequel of the same name. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, with an adventure that still puts you in the shoes of Henry, the hero of the first opus, but whose fate will be more militant and less harsh. The mechanics of the game should be repeated, we hope for a little more fun and less technology, which sometimes could scare away players of the first opus.

And Unreal Engine, both in version 4 and 5, or Unity, is at the top of the trendy 3D engines. Warhorse stays true CryEngine. The announcement of the game’s release this year, which was worked on by 250 people over several years, led to the creation of a trailer that mixed real-time in-engine cutscenes and several gameplay scenes. Without a doubt, the graphic charter remains and the potential is definitely there. There’s no more information to sink your teeth into, but the Summer Game Fest in less than two months should provide more fodder for discussion. Future success or doom and gloom?
