Saint-Jury. Les Tempos du Cœur in support of France’s fight against Alzheimer’s disease

The station was full again. This year Les Tempos du Cœur supported the organization France Alzheimer 81, whose president made a moving presentation thanking the organizers for their initiative. The proceeds went to them, but a call for volunteers was announced: let it be heard, support the affected families. However, we were not sad, and the solo concerts of both choirs delighted the audience. Two different programs from two performing ensembles. Chante Vère drew on world music with a lot of traditional music (Germany, Croatia, Poland, Argentina and American gospel). Locals and Croche Chœur organizers presented works that are now their standards and much appreciated by their audiences: in particular, Johnny Clegg’s Asimbonanga. But we were also pleased to find Michel Fugen’s “We All Leave the Day” or “The Acadiennes,” Nino Ferrer’s “The House of the Fountain” or Jacques Brel’s “Amsterdam.” All in all, this is a great evening of entertainment and solidarity, which is fitting for the organizers, who are to be congratulated once again.
