“Very impressed”, the Olympic coach wants Brest to qualify for the Champions League

Lyon coach Pierre Sage said he wants Brest, currently third in Ligue 1, to qualify for the Champions League and said he was “very impressed” with the play produced by Brest this season.

Brest lost 4-3 against Olympique Lyonnais last Sunday in a match on the 29th day of Ligue 1.

“It is a team that has many supporters, (and) of which I am a part. Even after the match against Brest, I was very impressed with what she is able to produce during the match or from one match to another. What happens to them is something they have built and deserve“, he said at a press conference.

“In their last two games, one shot positive and another negative, there have been seven goals. I imagine that those who participated in Brest-Metz or Lyon-Brest saw good matches. So if there is a team to watch tomorrow, I would recommend watching Brest“, declared the Olympic coach again.

Regarding Brestois’s statements about the fact that their course interferes with French football, Sage estimated that it was “perhaps a way to handle +us against the others+, by strengthening the bond between them to approach the end of the season“.
