Participation of Chad in the 12th French-language international conference on HIV, hepatitis, sexual health and emerging infections

This international conference, organized by the Francophone Alliance of Health Actors against HIV and Chronic or Emerging Viral Infections (AFRAVIH), brought together researchers, decision-makers, associations and public figures from the French-speaking world around an important topic: the fight against HIV. , hepatitis, sexual health and emerging infections.

The main objectives of the AFRAVIH 2024 conference were to exchange knowledge and the latest scientific advances in the field of HIV, hepatitis, sexual health and emerging infections. Promote the exchange of experiences and best practices between the various actors involved in the fight against these diseases. Identify challenges and opportunities to improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for affected people. Strengthen the mobilization of francophone actors in the fight against these diseases.

The Chadian delegation took an active part in the conference, presenting two reports on HIV/AIDS and hepatitis. These presentations shared experiences and actions taken in Chad to combat these diseases, as well as highlight the challenges the country faces.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Chadian delegation also held bilateral meetings with technical and financial partners. These meetings forged new partnerships and mobilized additional resources to combat HIV, hepatitis, sexual health and emerging infections in Chad.

Chad’s participation in the AFRAVIH 2024 conference was a great success. This has allowed the country to strengthen its capacity to combat these diseases and position itself as a key player in the international public health community.

Chad reaffirmed its commitment to combating HIV, hepatitis, sexual health and emerging infections. The country shared its experiences and best practices with other conference participants. Chad has mobilized additional resources to combat these diseases. Chad’s participation in AFRAVIH 2024 helped strengthen the country’s capacity to combat these diseases.
