For the 30th day of Ligue 1, Sunday 21 April, Le Havre AC hosts Metz football club at the Océane stadium at 3 p.m. A meeting which according to the prefect ” will generate a significant flow of spectators with 21,500 people expected.”

And among them, again according to the prefect, “190 FC Metz supporters including 60 ultra supporters from Group D Horda Frenetik F and 30 from Group D Gruppa Metz”.

The match was classified as level 2, by the national department for the fight against hooliganism, which corresponds to “a degraded context likely to generate deviant behavior on the part of supporters”. A prefectural decree was therefore issued by Gilles Quénéhervé, on Tuesday 16 April aimed at supporting Metz supporters.

Precedents and context for the FCR match on Friday

In the decree issued by the sub-prefect on April 16, it is recalled that on April 7 in Brest, police intervention had been necessary in a bar, “Messin supporters did not respect the management’s decree, went to a bar in the center of Brest and were provoked by around fifteen Brest ultra supporters, which required a quick intervention by the police to separate the two groups.

And to mention this season several other interventions by the police followed by the arrests of supporters who go despite the bans in the center of Le Havre “with the aim of fighting with the Le Havre supporters”.

The prefect also fears that in connection with Friday 19 April in the NM meeting FC Rouen against As Nancy Lorraine and that the Ultras from Rouen and Nancy, in conflict with those from Hac and Metz, will travel to Le Havre on Sunday on the occasion of the L1 match.

Limited freedom to come and go

For all these reasons, again according to the sub-prefect, “it is appropriate to restrict the freedom of coming and going of any person who claims to be a supporter of FC Metz”.

  • FC Metz supporters with a voucher are authorized to attend the match under the following conditions: – regardless of the means of transport, they must reach the meeting point set for Sunday 21 April 2024 at 12:30 in the car park from Saint-. Romain-de-Colbosc toll area, in the direction of traffic from Amiens to Le Havre. Supporters will be escorted by the national police from the aforementioned meeting point to the visitors’ car park at the Océane stadium in Le Havre.
    – From their arrival at the stadium, until their departure, FC Metz supporters will not be able to leave the parking lot visitor.
    – At the end of the match, FC Metz supporters will follow orders from national police officials to evacuate the stadium under the conditions imposed on them.
