Guided hikes in Sepak National Park in Charlevoix

In Charlevoix, the Grand Jardin and Haute Gorges de la Rivière-Malbaie national parks are offering new guided hikes to uncover the hidden secrets of these magnificent territories.

These guided activities take place off the beaten path, providing access to areas typically inaccessible to unaccompanied visitors.

This experience, offered by reservation only, is available by reservation for families or groups of 6 to 12 people.

“Taiga Trek: The North is at Your Feet” promises “an exotic journey into the taiga, where lichen endlessly covers the ground,” reads the park’s website.

A park ranger naturalist will guide you through a typical Far North forest and help you uncover the secrets of its origins in the park on a 5km hike over easy terrain.

The 4-hour event is offered rain or shine from mid-June to October. Admission is $25 for adults (park access fee not included) and free for children (ages 6-17).

The Tightly Interwoven Forests guided hike is partly on-trail and partly off-trail for about 5.5 km, including 4 km off-trail on slightly uneven terrain.

This will require good hiking gear, including long trousers and mosquito repellent.

This allows you to gain a deeper understanding of ecosystems and the specific species that inhabit them.

The 2.5 hour event is offered rain or shine from mid-June to early September. Admission is $9.50 for adults (park access fee not included) and free for children (6-17 years old).
