In a blog post, the company unveiled a range of new features, including several security-related ones. This includes integrated end-to-end encryption for team folders and the ability to add a unique key from a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 compliant service.

Dropbox is also improving some of its admin tools. A central control panel allows you to manage team members and invitations. The trust center brings together everything related to audit, security, reliability, compliance and privacy. All mentioned add-ons are available for Advanced, Business Plus and Enterprise customers.

The service comes with several welcome features, such as real-time collaboration between Office files (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). This feature is coming in a beta version that anyone can sign up for. Dropbox is also adding OneDrive compatibility for the playback feature.

Finally, the web version has several new features. So you can view a file or folder by hovering over it, pin items to the sidebar for quick access, organize content using dynamic filters, or even display similar files with context-aware smart suggestions.
