Masen launches the tender process

As part of its action to accelerate the implementation of EnR projects and as a continuation of recent significant progress in the development of Noor Midelt I, Noor Midelt II and Noor Midelt III storage solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 1,600 MW , of the six power plants of the Noor Atlas Solar Program (300MW) and the Nassim Koudia Al Baida wind farm (100MW) whose construction has been completed, Masen launched this Thursday the prequalification for the selection of the private partner that will be responsible for the financing , construction and operation of the Nassim Nord 400MW wind program.

This new program includes two wind farms: the Nassim Koudia Al Baida Extension Wind Park with a capacity of approximately 150 MW, located in the provinces of Fahs-Anjra and M’diq-Fnideq, and the Nassim Dar Chaoui Wind Farm with a capacity of approximately 250 MW . located in the provinces of Tangier and Tetouan.

Thanks to its project financing structure, this new program will promote greater private sector involvement in the deployment of renewable energy, with the participation of commercial banks, both Moroccan and international, in its financing.

Once these projects are completed, the Kingdom will rapidly achieve its objectives of decarbonizing the electricity system by anticipating before 2030 the achievement of the target of an electricity mix where at least 52% of the capacity is original. The deadline for submitting applications is scheduled for June 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM Moroccan time.
