“Netanyahu shamefully inscribed his name in history as the “butcher of Gaza”, like the murderers who preceded him”, insisted the head of the Turkish state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

On Friday, Erdogan gave a speech at the 5th conference of the Jerusalem Inter-Parliamentary Platform, which was held in Istanbul.

After comparing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to a “modern-day Hitler”, Erdogan highlighted the ties between his country and Jerusalem.

“In every corner of Jerusalem there are traces of my heroic ancestors who served this blessed city for 400 years. No one can erase those traces,” he explained before adding:

“Netanyahu infamously wrote his name into history as the ‘Butcher of Gaza,’ like the murderers before him.”

The Turkish president accused Israel of wanting to destroy “Jerusalem’s ancestral identity”, recalling the holy side of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qibla of Muslims.

In addition, Erdogan assures that Turkey will not remain silent in the face of genocide, while the Palestinians themselves have resisted for 203 days despite all restrictions.

“By providing unconditional military and diplomatic support to Israel, the American administration does not contribute to the solution but to the escalation of the problem,” he said, assuring that the US military aid of 25 billion dollars to Israel, while 35 thousand people were massacred in Gaza is a clear indication.

He also highlighted the double standards of the West in relation to supposedly universal values ​​when it comes to Israel.
