Cases of bird flu are increasing worldwide and are now affecting a large number of mammals. The virus was discovered in milk in the US after dairy cows were infected in Texas and Kansas. At the moment, the only people infected are through contact with sick animals. As long as there is no infection between people, we are not facing a pandemic. WHO calls for information sharing to monitor possible mutations.
