popular Android store coming to iPhone

With iOS opening up to competing app stores, something new is coming to Apple’s mobile operating system.

On the iOS side, things are starting to take off in earnest. Nearly two months after the introduction of the DMA, Europe’s competition-boosting rule, iOS is being forced to open up and agree to make room for alternative app stores.

A store that rewards its users

That changed on April 18 with the release of Altstore, which offered some exclusives in Europe, including an emulator that let you run Nintendo games on the iPhone. A few days later, it was the turn of the very popular alternative Android store Aptoide to announce itself on iOS.

A page has been opened for pre-registration and notification of upcoming arrivals, the exact release date of which is not yet known. Android users should not be confused as the interface will be the same. But one of the advantages of this alternative store is the way it rewards its users.

When you make in-app purchases, you can get cashback, in other words, a few cents back, which you can then reuse elsewhere.

Aptoide is coming to iOS – Aptoide

Pre-registration appears to be required, as Aptoide only promises a “limited number of seats.” Perhaps here we can see the consequences of the “tax” that Apple charges on each download from an alternative store, namely 50 cents.

The installation method, far from intuitive, should be the same in Altstore and Aptoide.
