The twelfth person suspected of connection with the deadly attack that took place on March 22 in a concert hall near Moscow was sentenced to pretrial detention by the court in the Russian capital on Saturday.

The pretrial detention of the suspect was set for May 22, as well as eleven other persons who appeared before the Moscow courts in connection with this case, according to the decision of the Basman Court in Moscow, which could still be the subject of a verdict. appeal.

According to Russian media, the suspect, originally from Tajikistan, lived in a hostel in Moscow and worked illegally. He was responsible for providing funds for the preparation of a terrorist act, including means of telecommunications to members of an organized group.

On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack was carried out in the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, a city located twenty kilometers northwest of the capital. According to the latest government report, 144 people were killed and 551 wounded during this attack led by four people.

After the attack, at least 19 people were arrested in connection with the attack, including four suspected attackers who are from Tajikistan.

Several other suspects were arrested in the republic of Dagestan, in the Russian Caucasus. The latter allegedly gave money and weapons to the perpetrators of the March 22 attack.
