Google Keep reminders will be integrated with Google Tasks

Google Keep takes another step into the graveyard of apps and services buried by the search engine. The latter confirmed that tasks created in Keep will also appear in Google Tasks, Calendar and Assistant.

The simplicity of Google Keep is also its biggest drawback. The notes and reminders app lacks basic editing features and feels isolated on an island. Google will fix this: Keep reminders will be automatically saved in the Google Tasks app, where they can be viewed, edited, and completed—the same will happen in Google Calendar and Assistant.

Google Keep reminders are everywhere

This makes Google Tasks a centralized solution for managing task lists in Worspace, the company’s productivity platform. Apart from Keep, Assistant and Calendar, the app also saves reminders created in Gmail, Google Chat and Docs.

Google Keep remains in place and retains all other functions: recording voice memos, writing notes, taking photos, creating task lists and reminders. However, it’s hard not to imagine that sooner or later this app will cease to exist in favor of Google Tasks, which will eventually integrate Keep features.
