MSI seems to be abandoning AMD graphics cards

Lately, finding an AMD graphics card from MSI has been difficult. This applies to an even greater extent to the RX 7000, although they are officially in the brand’s catalog. In particular, we’re thinking about the Radeon RX 7900 XT GAMING TRIO CLASSIC 20G. However, among green competitors, the number of mentions is increasing due to new variants such as the RTX 4080 Super EXPERT. If we examine the brand’s catalog, we can count 147 models of GeForce RTX 40 series cards, compared to 4 models of the Radeon RX 7000 series… And which are neither visible nor accessible.

MSI quietly disabled its Radeon line of graphics cards

A few years ago, Nvidia put some pressure on its partners regarding competing cards in their catalog. A position that could unofficially make it more difficult to supply RTX GPUs, even though the latter make up the majority of sales in the market. But this time, it looks like MSI just wants to focus on the core of the market. Therefore, the brand decided to give preference to Nvidia without closing the door to AMD. In this regard, red motherboards are actively promoted by MSI. If MSI does not indicate that it has decided to stop producing video cards based on AMD chips, it does not say otherwise.

However, if MSI exits the Radeon card business, Asus and Gigabyte will remain among the established brands. Note that these two brands are also careful with Radeon cards. At the same time, Acer, which is entering this segment, is betting heavily on AMD cards.
