discoveries for the whole family

Initially, around 2,500 young people from primary and secondary schools will take part in the event on 2 and 3 May through school visits, where around twenty regional institutions and organizations will share their experiences. Young people will be able to participate in experiments in fields such as robotics, chemistry, physics or biology.

May 3 will also offer the opportunity to host the regional finals of the ÉTS Inventive Engineering Challenge, where young people will have to design and build a racing car equipped with an automatic braking system. Around thirty teams from eight secondary schools in the region will compete in events that showcase the genius and creativity of young people.

There will be a day for the general public on Saturday, May 4th. It will be held for the second year in a row following the resounding success of last year and will attract more than 1,400 visitors.

On this occasion, visitors will have the opportunity to discover what is being done in the field of science in the region by visiting some twenty kiosks that have confirmed their presence free of charge. The program includes: robotics, biology, engineering, ecology, metallurgy, astronomy, energy, etc.

Attendees will also be offered a Family Science Jamboree with numerous prizes for those who can answer survey questions while visiting the booths.

Luc Langevin, renowned illusionist and national ambassador for the Technoscience Network, will also be happy to share his passion for science with visitors.
