Former US president and Republican candidate for the November 5 US presidential election, Donald Trump maintains a steady lead over President Joe Biden, according to a new poll released on Sunday.
Research conducted by the SSRS agency on behalf of the continuous news channel CNN, shows that the New York billionaire concentrates 49% of the votes among registered voters in the event of a duel with the Democratic candidate who is satisfied with 43%.
Also, 55% of those surveyed think the real estate mogul’s presidency has been a “success,” compared to 44%, while 61% think the Biden administration’s performance has fallen short of expectations.

Among Republicans, 92% of voters see Trump’s tenure in the White House as a success. For Democrats, 73% approve of the Biden administration’s performance.
The survey was conducted from April 18 to 23 among 1,212 voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4%.
At the beginning of this week, a survey conducted by Bloomberg News and the agency Morning Consult showed that Joe Biden is ahead of the Republican candidate in six of seven key states.
The poll attributes the Democratic candidate’s drop in popularity to a sense of pessimism among voters about the outlook for the world’s largest economy.
The study also finds that the US chief executive leads in only one of the seven key swing states. This is Michigan where Biden has a slight 2% lead.
