On this occasion, the Secretary General of the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, Abdullah Al-Washmi, indicated that this center contributes to the enrichment of the Arabic language, through research support and artificial intelligence tools and applications to help configure language data.
The vision of the center for automatic processing of the Arabic language aims to take advantage of artificial intelligence techniques to strengthen the place of Arabic at the regional and global level.
The center includes five main laboratories, responsible for the implementation of the objectives, namely the “artificial intelligence laboratory” dedicated to the research and processing of the Arabic language, the “data configuration laboratory” which is interested in the collection, processing and optimization of Arabic language data in various forms (written, audio, video), “audiovisual laboratory”, “virtual and augmented reality laboratory”, as well as “research laboratory”.
