Candy Dolfer and Hend Al-Nayra will perform at Anfa Theater

According to the organizers, this collaboration promises a unique musical experience, combining the captivating sounds of Kandi Dolfer’s jazz and the mysterious depth of Hind Naira’s Gnawa music.

Candy Dolfer, known for her ability to fuse jazz, funk and pop, will perform “We Funk Harder Tour 2024” during Gazablanca. Since his debut album in 1990, Dolfer has sold over 2.5 million copies and collaborated with music legends such as Prince, Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin and Pink Floyd.

Hind Al-Nayra, a self-taught artist and Cambrian professor, joins Dolfer on stage as a special guest. Originally from the city of Essaouira, it adds a touch of authenticity and mysticism to the musical fusion. Her captivating performances, both in Morocco and abroad, seduce audiences with her captivating Gambari solos, in which she harmonizes with jazz and African sounds.

The Gasablanca Festival will also have another unforgettable evening with the duo Sarah and Ismail, on stage 21 in Anfa Park on Saturday, June 8. Originally from Agadir, Sarah and Ismail conquered the audience with their unique blend of Berber music, jazz, funk, Afrobeat and soul. Their career began in Shanghai, where covers of Berber classics caused a sensation on social media. Since then, they have marked their debut with the titles Amoudou and Manago, thus revealing their unique musical fusion.

With superstars such as UB40, Paolo Nutini, James Blunt, Kallio and Zucchero, as well as contemporary jazz geniuses Cocoroco, Yusef Days and Makaya McRaven, Gazzablanca promises three exceptional evenings combining musical diversity and artistic excellence.
