Saint-Benoît-de-Carmaux. Spartak Fontgrande welcomes François Nieto

The Spartacist team from the mining town of Fontgrande recently received the association of Torpedo Garricois. An important preparation meeting for the coal black jerseys as part of the trip to Arles next June.

In Bouches-du-Rhône, Fontgrande will present its Rino Della Negra trophy which is up for grabs against Spartak Armésien and Asteras Montpellier. The meeting was an opportunity to put François Nieto in the spotlight. Fontgrandin of Spanish origin and former miner, he now devotes himself to painting and recently exhibited his works in the city of Pampelonne. He received a Fontgrande jersey before the match. The “Francisco” flocked tunic pays homage to his father, a miner at the Tronquié well and then at the coke works. Under the gaze of both teams, François Nieto gave the fictitious start to the match. Spartak, which multiplies mining references in its football training, will continue to honor the former miners and athletes of the town of Fontgrande.
