Snapchat will let you edit your messages for free

Snapchat is preparing to launch a feature that is likely to quickly gain subscribers and that many users have been waiting for.

Available for several years on Messenger, iMessage and WhatsApp, the ability to edit messages will launch on Snapchat “soon”. The feature was already available to subscribers of Snapchat+, the social network’s premium service, but will be rolled out to all users.

Snapchat, whose finances are not in the best shape, explains that it will make this option available to all users in the coming weeks, adding that it will be possible to edit, correct a typo or add an emoji within five minutes of sending the initial message.

A message edited in this way will have a notice indicating that it is not original.

The publication’s availability outside of Snapchat+, which costs €3.99 per month, risks undermining the social network’s premium service, although the number of subscribers has just exceeded 9 million.

Snapchat+ allows you to have a special badge and badge, a replay story indicator, attach a “your best friend” badge, have a background, or even a Snapscore multiplier.
