A Moroccan woman fell to her death from a zip-line

Ghizlane Moutahir, 41, a Moroccan who lives in Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, will not return alive from her zipline trip. On Sunday, while flying over a forest in the Bitto Valley between two villages, it broke free from its harness, fell and crashed 20 meters below shortly before reaching its destination. The accident happened on the Fly Emotion cable car, one of the main tourist attractions in the Alps. When rescuers arrived, they were unable to resuscitate her. She died instantly. The police and the prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the terrible accident. According to witnesses, the 41-year-old woman hung vertically for several seconds before falling. A preliminary investigation reveals she “stopped” just before reaching the end of the zipline, “started to struggle” and her “legs slipped,” a police spokesman said. He added: “This threw her off balance and she fell from the harness approximately 20 meters into the forest below and was killed instantly.” After the tragic accident, authorities temporarily closed the park while the investigation continued. “A video of what happened, taken by his nephews, is also being examined and the local prosecutor has opened an investigation,” the spokesman continued. The Sondrio Municipal Prosecutor’s Office ordered an autopsy on the body.

“Our first thoughts are with the lady and her family. We still don’t know for sure what happened and I’m shocked and in disbelief. Michele, the nine-year-old husband of the deceased, is in shock. He, who stayed at home because he had a toothache, rushed to the park after the tragic accident. “I should have been there with her.
