Lewandowski predicts a bright future at PSG, even without Mbappé

FC Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski praises Kylian Mbappé but insists PSG have a bright future ahead of them, even after the French striker’s planned (but still unofficial) departure this summer.

Praise and great respect. In an interview with Le Parisien, Robert Lewandowski says all the good things he thinks about Kylian Mbappé. “We have a good relationship when I see him, I always have a very good feeling,” confides the FC Barcelona striker. He praises his impact in terms of personality, but also his exceptional qualities on the pitch…which he finds much better on the left than in the middle, where he is currently used by Luis Enrique.

“PSG have the future ahead of them, even if Kylian leaves”

“Of course, Kylian is great. Maybe not as a striker, but more as a winger, because he is fast, his speed is impressive, it becomes difficult to catch him for so many opponents. He is impressive when he runs on a pitch. , it is as if his feet don’t touch the ground and that means he’s always one step ahead of the opponent,” explains the Polish forward. He and his Barça partners recently paid the price in the quarter-finals of the Champions League in the quarter-finals (2-3, 4-1).

On this occasion, the former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich player noted a change in the Paris game, for which he predicted a bright future even after Mbappé’s departure this summer. “I like how midfielders, like Vitinha, develop,” he says. “They have two or three young offensive players who have improved a lot. Their idea of transfers has changed a bit and I think PSG has the future ahead of them, even if Kylian leaves. I think this club will continue to “be in the Champions League and will always be dangerous for any team in Europe.”

For Lewandowki, Paris has a “great chance” to reach the Champions League final, although the interview was conducted before the semi-final first leg lost in Dortmund (1-0), last Wednesday. The Parisians meet on Tuesday (9pm on RMC Sport 1) at the Parc des Princes to try to turn things around and qualify for the second final in the club’s history.
