Marie-Belle’s troupe’s first trip to Victoriaville.

About twenty young members of the dance troupe created by Marie-Belle Lebeau of Daveluville came to Victoriaville May 3 to perform two performances of their new dance show.

The project’s initiator was very pleased to have the opportunity to come to Victoriaville, at the residences of Le Chene and Le Roseau, to begin a tour of the region. The show is inspired by the tale of Aladdin and will visit around ten seniors’ homes.

The twenty young participants (out of the 80 who made up the group) chosen for these performances (who had benefited from the educational day) were very nervous but excited to have the opportunity to dance in front of the residents. After placing decorations and markers on the floor, they performed several numbers, some of which impressed the audience.

The little ones needed Marie-Belle’s guidance and accompaniment, but the older ones confidently presented their choreography. For all members of the troupe, who attend Marie-Belle’s dance lessons for free, it is an interesting experience in front of an audience. She launched the project a few months ago to offer young people from Daveluville and the region an interesting and, above all, free activity that should not be neglected by many families. The offer is valuable as registrations for this second production are growing. “And they come from far and wide,” she says.

There will be other performances at the residencies in the coming weeks, and a very special one is planned for May 25th, but as part of the Daveluville Retro Festival.
