He has not run since March 24, during Ghent-Wevelgem, in Belgium. After a forced break due to extreme fatigue and blood tests “not very good”explained one of the sports directors, Sébastien Hinault, Arnaud Démare announces that he will resume the competition.

An expected improvement

A recovery at home since the cyclist from Beauvais will line up at the start 4 days from Dunkirk (14-19 May). “With the leadership of the Arkéa B&B Hôtels team, we have decided to accelerate my return to competition so that I can get back into the rhythm of racing”explains the 32-year-old sprinter on his Instagram account.

Arnaud Démare also confides that he is “very happy to return to this ordeal which brings back fond memories.” He had actually won stages during the 2013, 2014 and 2017 editions.
