An “alliance” of German companies, including the country’s biggest groups, announced on Tuesday that they are launching a campaign against the far-right, while the AfD party is on the rise, a month before European elections. “Thirty German companies have joined together in an alliance for diversity, openness and tolerance,” they stated in a column signed by heavyweights such as BASF, BMW, Siemens, Deutsche Bank, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.
