Isle-en-Dodon. Great success for the Ronde de l’Isard

This race allows young people under the age of 23 to make themselves known before they can take part in the Tour de France.

April 30, arrival of the entire caravan and the director Guy Sans, former riders who participated in the Tour de France several times and some even wore the yellow jersey: Guimard, Jean-Pierre Danguillaume, Thomas Ruzzene, Hubert Abbes, Jacques Bossis and Serge Gabernet (rugby player). Isle-en-Dodon is very proud that this international event starts from this town, organized at the suggestion of Jean-Marie Cadieu, a former rugby player at the Toulousain stadium but very involved in the life of Isle-en-Dodon.

The meal brought together 180 people in the evening under the hall, in joy and good spirits with a presentation of all the organizers by the Mayor. On 1 May, the Isloise associations present under the hall held their ground, which helped to show cycling fans that our city does not lack vitality, togetherness or good food.

The runners arrived on the morning of May 1 by bus, all the teams were presented on the podium, all these young people came from far and wide: Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, Mexico … without forgetting Occitania! Note the presence of Miss 1st runner-up Toulouse. at 12.30, start of the race in front of the town hall, a sea of ​​runners, 186, impressive… a short tour of the city and then, on the way to the 1st stage, Trie sur Baïse .

Once the runners had left, the caravan left town without incident, watched over by the race staff and a number of police officers on motorbikes.

A great organization and animation with a dense audience that came to encourage them without forgetting the presenter Obélix who made the audience laugh. Laughter, socializing, sport, this is what makes a unique event that will be remembered in the sector.
