“Knowledge tool”: the municipality of Vaulx has a Municipal Biodiversity Atlas

“The issue of biodiversity, protection of massifs and large landscapes is part of our municipal policy” says Jérôme Dubois, mayor of Vaulx. So it immediately became much clearer to see the position of the commune itself when last year the regional natural park of the Luberon asked one of the founding cities in 1973 to commit to the conservation of biodiversity.

How to do it ? Through the Municipal Biodiversity Atlas (ABC), which should enable the population to better understand their natural area and thus better promote and conserve it. “ABC will enable action to improve our knowledge of biodiversity through a citizen-led approach. We held a public meeting in February and it was a great success with about fifty people of all ages attending.“, explains the Councilor of the Bas-Alpes.
