new interpretation of the Master Grande Tradition Worldtimer model

The enameller uses a combination of opaque and translucent enamels to create areas of more or less light and dark tones, reminiscent of landscapes from different continents. There are 10 layers of enamel on the dial, the installation of which alone requires more than 20 hours of work.

Varnishing is a craft process that involves manually applying several layers of coating to the surface to be decorated. It starts with a coat of clear varnish, followed by another layer of colored varnish.

For greater richness and depth, the artist can add up to 15 layers of translucent varnish, each requiring a precisely controlled drying process. Finally, this round surface is polished to the point where it catches light and enhances the colors.

Like (almost) all world time clocks, the center displays a map of the world as seen from the North Pole. The outlines of the continents are carved from a thin plate of 18k gold and decorated with champlevé enamel. However, unlike the traditional flat image, this map floats above the main dial on a domed rose gold frame formed by the longitude and latitude of the Northern Hemisphere.
