Sunday evening is dedicated to Battatrache, a new group from Bordeaux for artistic research and experimentation. On the program: poetry, dancing, DJ at Brasserie du Port.

History and honor

Documentaries that attest, sometimes explicitly, to this cinematic revolution include Agnia Galdanova’s “Queendom,” in which the director paints a portrait of a young lesbian, Jenna Marvin, in Russia. A meeting with the director is scheduled for April 3. The award-winning documentary “Body of the Crime” by Leolo Victor Pugibet will also be screened, in the presence of director and actor Mathieu Morel. Not to be missed again is “Nelly and Nadine” by Magnus Gjerten, which recounts a completely improbable romantic encounter between two women, in 1944, in the Ravensbrück camp.

The festival also explores history, paying tribute to a pioneer of lesbian cinema: Barbara Hammer, who never stopped portraying women and artists of her time. An introductory workshop for his work is scheduled, and three feature films are scheduled to symbolize his commitment. His portrait of Claude Cahun, the surrealist figure and companion of Marcel Moore (“Another Lover”), will be shown on April 7 at CAPC.

The novels evoke the story of the leaden 1990s, and social conflicts, or light conflicts, take the road to Andalusia. “Norwegian Dream”, “Un jour fille”, “The Turtles”, “On the Go” are all visions of filmmakers who shake our certainties.
