“He only has a 4% chance of survival…”

A simple illness, a simple injury, even the most harmless one, can sometimes lead to serious consequences. In a hospital, if a person is not given quick enough help or if his pathology is not detected in time, a tragedy can quickly occur.

Stephen is a 36-year-old man who went through a very traumatic experience after doing something he thought was harmless. A man removed an ingrown hair from his groin, unaware of all the misfortunes and difficulties that this simple gesture would entail. Stephen quickly began vomiting blood and felt extremely weak to the point that he could not breathe. Unfortunately, many hospitals have already turned him down, thinking he is making it up, his sister told the Mirror.

Stephen’s health quickly deteriorated, putting him into an induced coma. The thirty-something man actually had sepsis as a result of an infection that occurs when the immune system overreacts and begins to damage tissues and organs. Stephen was in a coma for a month, even undergoing open heart surgery.

This blood poisoning, caused by pulling out ingrown hairs, initially left Steven with only a 4% chance of survival. The man miraculously escaped and came out of his coma without suffering serious brain damage. Doctors told Steven’s parents that he probably wouldn’t make it out alive… Steven showed everyone that with courage and fight, you can overcome serious health problems!
