The Moroccan women’s soccer team, which faces Zambia next April to punch its ticket to the 2024 Olympics, will play, should it qualify, in Group B with the United States, Germany and Australia.
The groups for the women’s Olympic football tournament, which will be held from July 25 to August 10, are now known after the draw that took place on Wednesday in Paris.
The Atlas Lionesses will be set for the end of their double confrontation with Zambia on April 5 and 9 for the final round of the African qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Tournament.
The first leg will be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, in Ndola, Zambia, from 19:00, the second leg will take place at the Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat, from 22:00.
Here is the composition of the groups:
Group A: France, Colombia, Canada, New Zealand
Group B: USA, CAF 2 (Morocco or Zambia), Germany, Australia
Group C: Spain, Japan, CAF 1 (Nigeria or South Africa), Brazil
