“We were in a difficult situation…”: Arnaud Ducret remembers filming the Mercato in the seal room – TV news series

In the first episode of “Mercato” broadcast this evening on TF1, Thomas finds himself a hostage in the seal room! For AlloCiné, Arnaud Ducret talks about the difficulty of filming these scenes…

Thursday, March 28, 2024, TF1 invites its viewers to watch episodes 5 and 6 of the first season of Mercato. In part one, shown this evening from 9:10pm, Thomas searches for a base. He suffers burns during a diving visit and goes to the police station on edge. His colleagues greeted him by announcing their break.

David Ayala is a guest on “Mercato”

On the brink, they are asked to account for their assignments when a man shows up and takes him hostage. The police station is on the brink. The attacker takes refuge with Chevalier in the sealing room. Then the commander calls for a raid. Once there, the raid leader decides to make a muscular attack and does not want to start any negotiations…

During this episode, our hero played by Arnaud Ducret will find himself in a delicate situation: locked up with a dangerous person (played by David Ayala, recently seen in D’Argent et de sang on Canal+)! For AlloCiné, the actor briefly returned to the difficult filming of these scenes, in a limited space.

“We were in a difficult situation…” remembers Arnaud Ducret

The actor said to our microphone: “My partner was great, I was happy to see him here! But there were a lot of us [avec des membres de l’équipe technique, ndlr] In this small room we were crowded! We were in trouble…“.

Obviously, trying to put together the Mercato episodes required the cast to use a great deal of physical energy. Manon Azim (who explained why Nora didn’t speak with a Marseille accent), also recalled to AlloCiné filming the plane scene (at the beginning of the season) during which the duo of policemen climb onto the device while it is operating.

She recalled during our interview: “(…) During one take, we did the movement so well that everyone said: “Okay, let’s speed up the plane a little…” And there, it was even more dangerous because I felt the suction from the plane that was moving forward!

I stumbled a little and freaked out but was able to get on the plane. I turned around and found the photographer who was following us had fallen to the ground while running, and the camera was on the ground!“Despite all these efforts, Arnaud Ducret and Manon Azim have the same desire for the second season: always more comedy…and action! Just like that.

Mercato continues to be broadcast on TF1 this evening from 9:10 p.m.
