Rabat – The Minister of National Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Omrane Group (GAO), Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, chaired a meeting of this Council last Tuesday dedicated to to the evaluation of the group’s results for the year 2023 and its action plan for 2024.

On this occasion, Ms El Mansouri underlined the importance of this sector and its role in Morocco’s economic and social dynamics, citing the ongoing reforms, especially in the areas of housing and urban development, and improving performance of public institutions and companies, according to a press release from the Ministry of National Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.

“As part of the implementation of the High Royal Directives of His Majesty the King, may God help him, the Ministry has taken a series of initiatives and measures in accordance with the recommendations of the National Dialogue on Urban Planning and Housing,” she said. said, adding that this desire was reflected in the direct housing assistance program “Daam Sakane”, which aims to facilitate access to housing for citizens to improve their living conditions, promote investments and create jobs in the housing sector.

Ms. El Mansouri recalled the role of the Al Omrane Group in the implementation of state policies in planning, housing and territorial development, as a public actor responsible today for the management of the main public programs.

The Minister also emphasized the commitments made at the previous meeting of the Board of Trustees, including the evaluation of the activities of the Al Omrane Group and the presentation of a full diagnosis of its situation and its prospects for improvement and development, which must be managed properly. in line with the strategy and priorities of the supervisory ministry.

Furthermore, she welcomed the dynamics within the group since the appointment of Mr Housni El Ghazaoui as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Omrane Group, recalling the mobilization of the group during the earthquake that hit Morocco, through technical assistance for the reconstruction program for disaster areas, as well as the launch of a digital platform to facilitate access to Al Omrane products, in the context of total transparency and ensuring better proximity with citizens.

Ms. El Mansouri then addressed the expectations of the Supervisory Board regarding the Al Omrane Group, inviting it to actively contribute to the development of government policies related to the sector, to strengthen relations with central and regional partners strengthen its effectiveness and efficiency to serve as a model in the areas of governance, transparency and services to citizens.

Regarding the group’s results for the year 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the GAO, Mr. El Ghazaoui, specified that Al Omrane’s turnover reached more than 4.26 billion dirhams (MMDH), with a performance rate of 101%, while the turnover Turnover amounted to almost 4.73 billion dirhams, with a performance rate of 117% compared to the previously set targets and an increase of 22% compared to 2022.

And to continue that, the group has started construction of 6,548 new production units and 38,255 urban modernization units and has completed 10,832 new production units and 43,235 urban modernization units.

Regarding the 2024 action plan, Mr. El Ghazaoui indicated that the GAO plans to create 16,679 new production units and 28,421 units in partnership. The group also plans to complete works on 28,908 new production units and 9,478 partnership units, in addition to the delivery of 16,080 sales contracts and the creation of 30,058 land titles.

On the investment side, the aim is to mobilize 5.5 billion dirhams and the expected turnover is estimated at 5.58 billion dirhams, an increase of 31% compared to 2023.
