The first FRAPA International Market, organized by the Porto Alegre Screenwriting Festival (the largest event of its kind in Latin America) and AIG (Ibero-American Screenwriters Association), selected 15 projects (feature films and series) from 438 entries. The opportunity had to be shown last Friday, April 12 in Seville, during the 8th Meeting of Spanish Screenwriters, held from April 11 to 13 and organized by FAGA (Federation of Audiovisual Screenwriters Associations) and ALMA (Association of Spanish Screenwriters). union).
This market aims to promote the exchange of experiences and the internationalization of projects and talents from Brazil and Spain. Five projects by Brazilian authors and ten by Spanish and Ibero-American authors were then selected, including five Andalusian authors. In addition to artistic and artistic quality, the committee took into account the potential of projects for international co-production.
In the past week, these authors participated in activities that included mentoring, market meetings with experts, and promotion. They presented their ideas, followed by comments from a dedicated panel of industry players. These events were open to the public and were also attended by producers, screenwriters, journalists, film, platform and television professionals.

The Porto Alegre Screenwriting Festival is a major meeting point for hundreds of screenwriters from all over Brazil, and the FRAPA Festival has been held every year since 2013 with the aim of encouraging series production, as well as promoting education and training, expanding the repertoire and recognition of screenwriting professionals.
FRAPA’s first international market is supported by partners including Fundación SGAE; Projeto Paradiso, a charity that supports Brazilian audiovisual media; Brazilian Embassy in Spain, Guimarães Rosa Institute, and WriterDuet screenwriting software.
