15 risk factors for early forms of Alzheimer’s disease identified

This prospective cohort study of 356,052 participants under 65 years of age found that there are 15 risk factors associated with the risk of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, most of which are modifiable:

Low level of education, low socioeconomic status, presence of 2 ApoE4 alleles, excessive alcohol consumption, alcohol-related diseases, social isolation, vitamin D deficiency, high levels of C-reactive proteins, weak handshake strength, hearing impairment, orthostatic hypotension. , stroke, diabetes, heart disease and depression.

These risks are largely not specific to early Alzheimer’s disease, but researchers show that lifestyle factors have less of an impact in early forms.
