Nothing releases two pairs of headphones at very attractive prices.

The British manufacturer Nothing presented the Ear and Ear(a) headphones – two very interesting pairs with, to put it mildly, an affordable price.

In recent weeks, Nothing has been teasing the release of new wireless headphones. Almost three years after launching its first product, Nothing Ear (1), the British manufacturer is back with two new pairs of wireless headphones: Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a).

Decidedly high quality Nothing Ears

On paper, the new Nothing Ear headphones have everything the brand’s previous high-end Ear (1) and Ear (2) models have. We thus see the emblematic transparent design with a square body that already characterized the manufacturer’s first two pairs of headphones. Nothing Ear still has an in-ear design with built-in electronics. They also feature 11mm dynamic ceramic transducers and support LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codecs in addition to AAC and SBC. Enough to allow them to take advantage of Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification.

When it comes to active noise cancellation, Nothing promises to improve on its counterpart. Nothing Ear can theoretically reduce noise by up to 45 dB in the 5000 Hz frequency range. It also offers three noise canceling modes.

The headphones also benefit from a 25% increase in battery life, with up to 40.5 hours of listening time with the case and 8.5 hours for the non-noise canceling headphones alone. They also benefit from fast charging and wireless induction charging. Nothing Ear is also compatible with Bluetooth multipoint for simultaneous connection to two devices, such as a PC and a smartphone.

More affordable Nothing Ear(s)

As was already the case with Nothing Phone (2a), Nothing Ear (a) are positioned at a more affordable price. Thus, nothing has its own symbolic format for the headphones themselves, not even the yellow color, but the body is more rounded. The headphones also feature 11mm plastic transducers with support for AAC, SBC and LDAC codecs, as well as active noise cancellation, similar on paper to Nothing Ear technology. Multipoint Bluetooth is also included, as is fast charging, but the headphones don’t support wireless charging.

The Nothing Ear(a)’s battery life is also slightly better than high-end models: 9.5 hours of listening time without noise cancellation and 42.5 hours with the charging case.

Price and availability of Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear(s)

The Nothing Ear headphones are available for €149 in black or white. For its part, Nothing Ear (a) retails for 99 euros in black, white or yellow.
