The documentary by Valérie Gaillard and Jean-François Corti immediately grabs us and puts us in the heart of the subject of their documentary: in front of the Ministry of Health in Paris in April 2022, Marie Thibault, founder of the Stop Cancer collective. The magazine de nos enfants lists the names of 25 children from the country of Retz who suffered from pediatric cancer. Portraits of some deceased children adorn the T-shirts of their loved ones. The moment is poignant, but it serves the purpose of this documentary, which chronicles the struggle of parents faced with their child’s illness and wanting to understand why.
