LBE: reactions after Chambray

Chambray THB: 32
Mérignac: 24

Chambraisiennes began the final sprint of the championship with victory against Mérignac, on Friday 19 April. A result that inevitably satisfies the players and the coach.

Mathieu Lanfranchi (Chambray coach): “I’m happy because the girls played a serious game, despite the problems. They showed character and continued to move forward despite the absence. I especially remember the collective face that we were able to show against a team that was certainly also reduced, but very dangerous. We got off to a bad start in rhythm, especially in defence, with too much passivity. But we found activity again, which meant that the gap gradually widened. »

Aminata Sow (Chambray pivot): “Mérignac is a team that doesn’t give up, we knew that and were on guard against it. The job was done, we were serious from start to finish. Above all, we managed to improve our defensive level and also play better in attack after the break. This year it is complicated, because we have to put in even more desire. It was very important to win this Friday. We are one success of the three to be taken. Now we go to Plan-de – Cuques (April 28). »

Noémie Lachaud (centre of Mérignac): “Obviously it’s disappointment because the score is still quite heavy. We held them for 35 to 40 minutes, we did some good things, despite a reduced team… But it was tough physically up front. When they started to move , it was complicated for us… We ran out as the seconds ticked by and we ended up exploding at the end of the game.”
