A press release published on the UNICEF website said that this Euvichol-S vaccine, which is considered important in the fight against cholera, should be produced in large quantities at low prices and will be distributed quickly in order to contain the surge of the epidemic. cholera.

Leila Pakkala, director of UNICEF’s supply department, explained that they managed to order all available doses of the vaccine and will start distribution as soon as possible.

“This approval means UNICEF can increase the procurement and distribution of cholera vaccine by more than 25%, which will further reduce the risk of cholera outbreaks,” said M.me Pakkaka.
